PacifiCare needed a new website to launch its prescription drug plans
under Medicare Part D, a new government program. Complex and changing federal
regulations made the project requirements extremely challenging. CleverPear
succeeded in delivering this potentially difficult project in an intense four
months – meeting all goals, dates and objectives. The success of this project
encouraged PacifiCare to give us additional assignments.
Objectives
- Develop a site that meets government-mandated requirements.
- Integrate with third-party tools to provide comparisons between
PacifiCare plans.
- Drive the enrollment of PacifiCare plans with targeted
customer portals for all markets.
Solution highlights
- Integrated six partner sites distributed across the Internet in a seamless
single sign-on process.
- Developed site using Microsoft Content Management Server 2002,
ASP.NET, C# and ADO.NET.
- Launched initial site in four months.
- Designed user profiling to provide unique user navigation and content
for a targeted user base.
- Created custom DAL tier based on ADO.NET that could dynamically generate the entire
DAL tier based on the DB schema.
Results
- Project delivered on time and on budget.
- Original contract was for two portals; scope expanded to five portals in final contract.
- PacifiCare signed a maintenance and support agreement with CleverPear that’s still in effect.
