After reviewing our success last year,
the cost per value CleverPear brings to the table and the rapid engagement necessary to meet their timeline, UnitedHealthcare asked CleverPear to build the sites out once again and is looking at CleverPear to help with the migration to J2EE next year.
Objectives
- Rebuild the website to use the latest .NET technologies.
- Leverage Ajax to allow for asyncronous form updates / validation.
- Rebrand the website to support the AARP design guidelines.
Solution highlights
- Rebuild the core data and business tiers to use ADO.NET 3.0.
- Develop new MCMS templates using MCMS 2002 SP2a and ASP.NET 2.0.
- Migrate existing user controls to ASP.NET and reskin them to support new design guidelines.
Results
- Project was delivered on time and on budget.
- The vendor library supported ASP.NET 2.0 and 1.1 for backward compatibility to minimize vendor migration impact.
- The solution leveraged ASP.NET master page templates to lower overall development cost.
- UnitedHealthcare extended its maintenance agreement with CleverPear and is looking to leverage CleverPear for the migration to a J2EE platform next year.
