Western World Annuity, a leader in annuity sales, had developed a reporting system that provides customized sales reports for its brokers. The company wanted a web solution that would make the system make the system portable and easy for brokers to access. CleverPear developed a web solution that uses an innovative engine to generate reports in a matter of seconds.

Objectives

• Create a website that lets brokers use Excel templates to generate customized sales reports.
• Provide administrative features for customized reporting.

Solution highlights

• Used the Excel PIA library to integrate Excel into the web application, run custom macros to generate dynamic graphs and Adobe distiller to generate the PDFs.
• Provided administrative features for customized reports.
• Created a customized client manager that lets brokers store user profiles and save sales reports.

Results

• More than 700 new sales representatives generated thousands of sales reports for their agency within a year.
• Western World Annuity signed a long-term maintenance agreement with CleverPear that’s still in place today.
